It is not necessary to reiterate the extraordinary and immense contributions made by Madame Chiang Kai-shek to the nation. People are happy to recount the Western learnings she commanded from within, and the elegant appearance she emanated from without, with which she criss-crossed the political worlds of the East and the West for decades. Examining and scrutinizing history, it is true no one comparable comes to mind.
It is exactly twenty years since Madame Chiang passed away. The Chinese-Heritage Virtual Museum is delighted to invite Mr. Roy Delbyck, the bibliophile and collector of Chinese ephemera, Minister Kao Hua-chu (高華柱), Mr. Hsü Ch’eng-tsung (許承宗), Mr. Yang Wei-han (楊維漢), Mr. Alan Goldstein and other collectors here and abroad, to lend photographs, brochures, books, documents, certificates, letters, political buttons, painting and others that relate to Madame Chiang. Altogether there are over two hundred pieces and they are designated into ten categories. This is indeed an unprecedented exhibition to commemorate Madame Chiang. The ten categories are named as follows:
1) Study Abroad
2) Marriage in Shanghai
3) New Air Force
4) Care for War Orphans
5) Support India
6) Persuade America
7) Visit Canada
